Long Island Woodturners Guild is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. The LI Woodturners Guild is also a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Long Island Woodworkers Association www.liwoodworkers.org.
Meetings are held at the Brush Barn, in Smithtown, Long Island at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.
The club consists and experienced and new turners. Meetings focus on hands-on learning and often include the use of several mini-lathes where members are encouraged to learn how to turn under the guidance of more experienced turners.
